Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Math Agent Chrome extension or its backend service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Math Agent is a study aid. It captures problems from your screen, or detects questions on a page, and asks a large language model to produce a solution. Answers are generated by third-party models and may be wrong. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use Math Agent to:

• Cheat on real exams, proctored tests, certifications, or anything where doing so would violate the rules of the institution or platform.
• Generate harmful, illegal, or rights-infringing content.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API beyond normal extension usage.
• Resell the service or wrap it without permission.

We can suspend or terminate access for violations.

4. Accounts & subscriptions

• The free tier allows a daily solve quota that may change.
• Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in USD.
• You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time except where required by law.
• We may change prices with at least 14 days notice via email or the extension UI.

5. Beta service

The service is currently in beta. Features may break, change, or disappear. We make no uptime guarantee during beta.

6. Intellectual property

The extension code, branding, and backend are owned by us. The questions you submit remain yours. The answers generated by the underlying models are provided to you under the terms of the relevant model provider.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost grades, lost opportunities, or wrong answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

8. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in the extension. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
